We're long overdue for another smoothie recipe over here! Our last one was so incredibly easy and so is this one. It's really hard to make a smoothie and have it turn out bad. I always like to add more fruit to the fruit/leafy green ratio because that's always a guarantee that it will taste good. I also never go to the store specifically to get smoothie ingredients. I always, always use what I have in my fridge and freezer which tends to make them less of a hassle and more appealing. Check out this simple recipe below!
Handful of frozen mango chunks
Two handfuls of raspberries
1 or 2 ripe bananas
1-1/2 cups of original rice milk
Handful of spinach (optional)
Splash of vanilla extract (optional)
You can substitute pretty much anything in this smoothie recipe. For example, sometimes I use kale instead of spinach, or blueberries instead of raspberries. I drink dairy-free milk, but you can use any milk you like! Coconut water is also a great milk substitute!
In general, here's my smoothie formula:
2-3 fruits (usually berries and bananas, frozen are best!)
1-2 handfuls of leafy greens (kale or spinach)
Liquid (I never measure, just pour enough to almost cover everything in the blender)
Sweetener (I typically throw in a splash of vanilla for a hint of vanilla flavor, but you could do honey or maple syrup)
