Vertical Stripes

Just when we promised more blog posts, we've fallen behind yet again, but there's a good reason! We've been working with Ashley Ella Design to create a brand new website which will be done soon! Elizabeth and I have gone back and forth about rebranding and possibly even changing the direction of this blog. We feel like as our lives change, our blog changes. We're fully aware that our blog's name is "Fashion Column Twins," which to many translates to strictly a fashion blog. Regardless, we've been wanting to expand into topics that we're passionate about and want to share with others. Don't worry! We'll still be blogging about fashion. Our mission has always been to help and inspire others to live a stylish lifestyle and we will continue to follow that.  The older we become, the more we feel that the first step to living a fashionable or stylish lifestyle doesn't just start in your closet. It encompasses all aspects of your life: health, fitness, beauty, decor, food, the list goes on! We hope you guys will follow along as we embark on these new changes. Elizabeth and I are so ready to write about topics that excite us and we hope you'll be just as excited to read about them! In the meantime....this post has been sitting in our drafts for a few weeks...

Elizabeth and I did two TV segments a few weeks ago on KCTV5's Better Kansas City where we talked about how to dress to look taller and how to dress to look slimmer. This dress was part of our "look slimmer" segment as vertical stripes are better for looking slimmer than horizontal stripes. I absolutely love this dress. It's the perfect spring and summer dress to wear casually or even to work. I paired it with a white blazer and neutral sandals, but you could also wear it for the weekend with flats or flat sandals. I went with my new go-to neutral bag that is big enough to carry all of my things. I've seriously been wearing this bag every single day - it goes with everything!
